Responsibilities
- Lead field baseline surveys across active project sites in Africa and Central Asia
- Develop and maintain species indicator protocols aligned to IUCN and TNFD standards
- Coordinate independent survey teams; quality-assure field data against satellite monitoring outputs
- Validate remote sensing and land cover analysis against ground-truth ecological observations
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Ecology, Conservation Biology, or Environmental Science
- Demonstrated field survey experience in tropical or dryland ecosystems
- GIS fluency — habitat mapping, land cover analysis, spatial data workflows
- Familiarity with IUCN Red List criteria and ecosystem classification frameworks
